The lucky winner, Marianne M, using the pseudonym "WYNDSTAR" has been a regular player at Slotland.com since March 2009 and took down Slotland's progressive jackpot for $83,979 in cash about ten days ago playing the Striking 7s video poker game. Sevens are wild and a special bonus round can multiply winnings in this popular video poker game. After receiving five cards players get to choose whether to hold each one or receive up to a whole new selection so as to create the best possible poker hand. Players can collect their winnings or take a chance at doubling this after each successful hand by drawing a card of higher value then the first one drawn.

Marianne said that the reason why she enjoys playing at Slotland.com is because of the site's unique games as well as its fair wagering requirements on its promotional bonuses. She also revealed that she had actually logged on to Slotland on the night of her big win in order to try out the new game, Jewels of the Ancients, but had soon thereafter decided to switch to her favourite video poker game, Strike 7s where she struck it lucky.
